I've recently upgraded my CPU to a Ryzen 9 5900X. The previous setup included an ASUS Strix X370-F gaming motherboard, a Ryzen 3 1700 processor, a stock Wraith cooler, a Western Digital M.2 SSD, two 120GB Kingston SSDs, two HDDs over 4TB storage, and an XFX Pro series PSU at 1050W. The new configuration is identical except for the CPU and a replacement NZXT Kraken Z series cooler. No additional adjustments were made. All systems are functioning properly. Until now, I've tried updating the BIOS from version 6042 to the latest, but Windows won't boot. It also fails to recognize the graphics card. In the past 24 hours, I've tried several fixes without success: downloading GeForce Experience for auto-detection, checking the device manager for automatic driver recognition, manually selecting the RTX driver in Device Manager, reinstalling Windows multiple times using different USB images, clearing CMOS, and even swapping the GPU to another PC. The GPU worked fine on that machine as well. I've also reverted the BIOS to version 6024 without improvement. I reached out to ASUS support, but they couldn't provide guidance. Finally, I reset the GPU and changed board settings, but nothing resolved the issue. Any suggestions?
Verify CSM is off and UEFI active. Boot into safe mode and inspect NV drivers. Look for chipset support and upgrade if needed. Apply only GPU drivers, avoid installing NV experience. If present, uninstall it. Re-deduct drivers and test in a different PCI-E slot. Let me know when you're ready.
I discovered a solution, surprisingly. It required Windows to update roughly four times, and the latest feature updates helped crack it.
