You're experiencing performance drops with Bayonetta after switching to higher settings. It might be related to your GPU's limitations or background processes. Try lowering the resolution to 1280x720 and see if it improves. Also, ensure no other programs are using significant resources. Check for any pending updates or driver issues.

That's frustrating! Upgrading your CPU can definitely help improve performance. Have you checked if your current system meets the requirements for the new model?

It seems most of the feedback I’ve seen highlights a strong port performance, which might mean the issue lies with your setup.

Consider getting an Ryzen 5 1400, a B350 motherboard, and 8-16GB of RAM. This setup matches the performance of an i7 for about $291. The part list you shared is great—perfect for that game PCPartPicker guide: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PTmmvV

It seems you're checking if spending $290 will let you enjoy games in 1080p at smooth 60fps.

I’ll definitely think about Ryzen. Or maybe a Pentium G4560, which runs much better than my old Athlon.

Yup. IMO an r5 or r3 is better value but that $100 difference is tempting PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jBh76X CPU: Intel Pentium G4560 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor ($59.48 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: ASRock B250M-HDV Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($62.99 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2800 Memory ($56.99 @ Newegg) Total: $179.46
