I have a Avaya 4548Gt, Trying to access the console port in putty only results in a black screen, looking at event log it appears that the switch never connects to putty, that can be seen in the Screenshot of the blank terminal aswell. I am unsure of what else could be wrong,I have tried other solutions to no success here is a list of the things that i have done Have a null modem db9 to usb Set the switch on the back of the switch so that this is the base unit, interestingly the indicator light is not showing a base light even though the switch is set to it Testing different baud rates, none have worked, made sure my config in putty is as Avaya says Restarting the switch while its still connected, no response all of the status indicators on the front of the switch indicate nothing different from normal operation, minus the base issue I also know this switch was set to defaults before i acquired it, I believe that the console port should be enabled by default I am aware that there could possibly be a issue of it not being a straight through DB9, I have however had conflicting information on that. My only other lead is there pin out makes it appear if the in and out data pins are flipped (I could be reading it wrong) Any information is appreciated
