Hi, I assisted a friend with assembling his PC. It has an i7-8700k processor, ASUS Z370-P motherboard, 16 GB RAM, and a 450W power supply. The CPU and motherboard are from me, so I’m confident they functioned before. After installing Windows, the audio issues appeared: it only works on one side when connected to the front jack, and on the other side with the rear jack. I verified the cable was fine, tested the headset on his machine, and even tried updating drivers via Device Manager, balancing audio settings, uninstalling and reinstalling the audio drive, and changing settings through ASUS Realtek Audio Manager. All attempts failed. I’m considering a USB sound card, but I’m not sure it will resolve the problem. Any advice would be appreciated.
