I have a Surface Pro 7 with an I5 1035G4 processor, 8GB RAM, and an 128 SSD. I installed Atlas OS just to keep my laptop as free of unnecessary software as possible. There were no problems during installation until I noticed something odd about the throttling. While playing a game, the CPU speed spikes to around 3300–3600 MHz, making the machine very hot. It doesn’t cool down much because it lacks a built-in fan. The issue arises when temperatures reach 80°C / 176°F; then the CPU drops to 400 MHz to try to cool itself. My question is whether I can adjust the throttle settings to stay below 70°C at maximum or if lowering the CPU frequency helps maintain better heat management.
