I owned a WD_Black 1TB SN750 SE NVMe on the first M.2 slot for nearly two years, and it was functioning properly. Recently, I purchased a new WD_Black 2TB SN850X NVMe and installed it in the second slot, but it doesn’t appear in the BIOS. The new drive is detected only when connected to the first slot. I’ve also experimented with different setups: connecting the new drive to the first slot and the old one to the second, but neither works. Plugging in other SATA drives or leaving the first slot empty still results in no recognition. Removing other drives and using just M.2 NVMe units hasn’t helped either. My system includes: TUF X470-PLUS GAMING with the latest BIOS, 5800x3D, two 16GB G Skill TridentZ DDR4 3200 CL16-18-18-38, RTX 4080, and a GIGABYTE GP-UD850GM 850W. I have two regular SATA SSDs and one standard SATA HDD. The manual suggests a second M.2 NVMe should work, but I’m unsure what’s causing the issue.
