Hey gamers, I’m working on fixing my ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Hero motherboard and running into a problem with the USB header. The front panel connector doesn’t snap into position when I try to plug it into the internal header.

It could be a problem or it might not be. If it functions properly, leave it alone. When it fails but remains powered off gradually, secure it with a tie wrap or similar. If it still doesn<|pad|>, inspect for bent or missing pins. These parts are delicate and pins can break easily. If bending isn't possible, replace the connector (and possibly the board) or seek professional help. Good luck!

Those who send PCs often use a method where they hot glue the USB in place.
