Contact AMD support with your purchase proof and ask for a Boot Kit. They assist in upgrading the BIOS by sending a loaner CPU that you return. I’m not sure about the exact Boot Kit details for the B550, but on older boards they offered affordable Athlon and A12 chips. The monitor issue seems resolved since you have an adapter. Check the box for the BIOS version or visit the motherboard’s website to confirm compatibility.
