I upgraded to an ASUS Prime Z790-P motherboard, an i9-12900k processor, and new DDR5 RAM. The previous system used an MSI board and an I7-9700k. My Windows OS is installed on a Samsung 960 EVO M.2 card, which only fits in the 3.0 mm slot of the Z790-P because that slot operates in SATA mode, not PCIe 4.0 like the other two slots. I have Windows Boot Manager on my old HDD drive, which also runs in SATA mode, followed by another SATA SSD for storage. My old MSI BIOS let me manually set boot priority so the HDD would boot first, then the M.2 device running Windows OS. On this ASUS BIOS version 1402, the M.2 slot is only recognized as a storage device and not as a bootable drive. I’m wondering if there’s a solution that works specifically for this BIOS version. I’ve seen other videos of older ASUS BIOS versions where it was possible to enable M.2 support for the third slot, but those fixes aren’t available in this BIOS, and I don’t have matching settings. Additionally, something strange happened: when I enter BIOS, I don’t even change any settings before exiting and trying to boot, but I still get a blue screen indicating an inaccessible or missing device. Another issue is that sometimes the M.2 slot appears in configurable boot priority, yet it doesn’t work. Please help anyone...

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
If you haven't reinstalled your OS, that's what you need to do, post platform migration. Just an FYI, you have BIOS versions pending an update;

I'm not clear on what you're referring to by post platform migration. It doesn't seem directly related to moving from MSI to ASUS. Could you clarify the context?
