Issue with AORUS 17H laptop RAM causing a black screen.
Just bought the Aorus 17h laptop with a 2TB SSD and upgraded RAM from 16GB to 64GB. It works fine now, but when I power it on it shows a black screen. The old RAM was fine, yet the new one isn’t recognized. I thought the BIOS was outdated, but Device Manager says the system is using the best drivers. The driver version is dated June 21, 2006, and it claims support up to 64GB. The specs say it can handle that, so I’m unsure what’s wrong. The graphics card driver was updated via GeForce Experience, and Windows Update is current. I’m hoping someone can help me figure this out.
It seems like the setup might have been off or didn’t connect well, so I started trying different approaches randomly. Now everything is working smoothly since then.
Hey @z180 or @denvol, do you have the BIOS FB03 or earlier but not FB05? I’m facing issues with my notebook using FB05 and need to downgrade since I’m experiencing problems. There are frequent crashes when I run different tasks in TouchDesigner and Resolve simultaneously. The CPU and GPU are consistently at 86% usage, and the temperature stays around 83°C. It seems there’s an internal temperature sensor near the battery or SSD. I really need a BIOS update or support for this issue, as my high-end laptop isn’t handling heavy loads well. Please help or provide an older version of FB03 if possible. Thanks!
