Feel free to share your thoughts on Alder Lake and XMT setup. Recently, I upgraded my system to 12700KF with a Z690 board and saw significant performance improvements. After switching to Windows 11, I tried pushing the system further with an overclock profile, but stability issues emerged. The BSOD became more frequent, especially during system changes or shutdowns. I restored everything to default in BIOS and kept using the new hardware. Recently, the problem worsened—my PC would crash after just 10 to 20 minutes of use. Working on it became stressful, so I switched to an older laptop for short sessions. I spent a lot of time troubleshooting without success, trying BIOS resets, driver reinstalls, and more. It turned out the memory-related messages in the BSOD suggested a possible memory issue. After turning off the XMP profile in BIOS, things stabilized. I found similar reports on Reddit, indicating others face similar instability with Intel Alder Lake and XMP profiles. This experience highlights potential risks when purchasing components for the Alder Lake platform, especially if you plan to overclock or use XMP RAM. If you're considering Intel 12th gen processors, exercise caution with RAM choices and verify compatibility before investing.

You purchased a Gigabyte DDR4 board, and you bought RAM with 4GB or more. These memory boards have experienced many problems, which might be the reason for your issue.

Asus TUF Z690 WIFI with RAM from Vengeance LPX 3200 32 GB (8 GB x 4). Others on Reddit used more costly RAM and were upset because XMP didn’t work.

Activate XMP and attempt to raise the voltage manually. It might be necessary for additional power to ensure stability.
