I recently cleaned my PC and removed the dust from the cooling fins. About a month later, one of the two fans began to vibrate and now operates very slowly—likely damaged or nearly dead. I’m unsure if I should replace the entire AIO or just swap out the fans. I’m looking into Corsair iCUE SP120 RGB ELITE Performance and the SilverStone td02-rgb I own. I’m worried about compatibility—will the new fans work with my BIOS and fit into the AIO?

It seems like there might be some confusion. Could you clarify what you mean by "acting funny"? If it's just a fan behaving oddly, I can help adjust or troubleshoot accordingly.

The fans adhere to a specific standard, making them simple to swap out. Your AIO features 120mm PWM fans, so opt for matching replacements. If the AIO functions well and the pump operates smoothly, just swap the fans. Corsair models work fine but are pricier; use Corsair Icue for RGB control. Arctic RGB fans offer a budget-friendly option that performs similarly.

You don’t need a new air controller just to change fans—they’re all standard, so swapping any fan will give you better performance. For the best results, opt for Corsair fans; they’re the top choice because of their customization and quality. If you need more, consider LLS/QLS models since they’re the only ones worth buying from them.

To clarify things, checking customer feedback shows these units come with the classic 4-pin 12V RGB fans. You might want to note your motherboard or current RGB setup when setting it up.

Throw some noctua a12x25s or phanteks t30 120s on that bad boy. Ditch the expensive garbo RGB fans.

Noctua are excellent and quiet, but with an acrylic panel the brown and tan shades might not be ideal. Consider Fanteks or Arctic if RGB is important, Corsair remains the top choice.
