I think there are significant problems with my Windows 10 system files and registry, making it impossible to boot. After several attempts to rebuild my BCD without any registry backups, I've chosen a clean reinstall, hoping to recover some lost data. I've copied most necessary files using Notepad through CMD in the Windows PE environment, but I've noticed I'm missing my AppData folder. There are files I need to back up from there using a program I use. I'm unsure why my AppData folder is absent and how to access it for backup. Would using something like Hiren's Boot CD be necessary?

Did you display concealed and system files? Or would you like to set up a complete Windows installation on a quick USB stick and start from there using Rufus's Windows To Go option?

I'm not sure if the Windows PE environment offered that choice, but I'll check again.

By default, the AppData folder is concealed. It's necessary to enable the setting in File Explorer to reveal and utilize hidden files or folders.
