I received a CORSAIR 2x16 6000mhz CL40 memory kit (CMH32GX5M2B6000C40). It uses SK Hynix M-die and I managed to overclock it to 5800mhz CL 30-36-36-28 with buildzoid timings, though I left FLCK on auto since 6000mhz wasn’t possible. I ran several memory stability tests and all passed. Switching to 6000mhz caused a blue screen before any stress test could start. Is my 7800x3d controller faulty? Many people claim it should support 6000mhz. I’m running at 1.25V SOC, 1.35V VDD and VDDQ.

You should be able to exceed those numbers. Your 7950X3D is handling 6400MT/s in a straightforward 1:1 setup without any issues. What board model is the 7800X3D using? Which BIOS version is active on that system?

Did you attempt the XMP/EXPO profile setting? My configuration runs at 6000MHz without problems, suggesting it's likely not a memory controller issue.

I used DOCP 6000mhz but it didn’t function. It worked only when I switched it to 5800mhz.

It's often seen that Corsair RAM doesn't support AM5, but achieving 5800MHz is manageable. The 7800X3D handles latency less so it's not an issue. If you can send the RAM to G. Skill, I'd consider it. Otherwise, you're still in a good spot.

This isn't the process it should work.

They didn't match the expected results. I shared personal experiences suggesting X3D CPUs often handle speeds above 6000MT/s, then inquired about BIOS updates since the AGESA code was first released, noting many memory compatibility improvements.

Your proof relies on personal observations as you mentioned earlier. The user has a Samsung B die known to be among the poorest DDR5 chips. The person is attempting to run it at 6000MHz CL30 with a 1.25 core design, which based on my own experiences is very unlikely for Samsung B die. I’m not sure what memory package you’re using, but I can say it wouldn’t match Samsung B die unless you’re targeting 6400MHz with very relaxed timing. The fact the user has managed to get it running at 5800MHz CL30 is actually impressive. I’d suggest slightly loosening the timing and opting for 6000MHz CL32 or CL34, which would offer better bandwidth at a modest increase in latency.
