Issue where the PC remains powered down with a faint DRAM light indicating activity during shutdown or restart.
I constructed my PC a year ago and only experienced this problem recently after reinstalling Windows 11. Whenever I restart or power off, the system remains unresponsive, with the DRAM light on the motherboard continuously illuminated; I’m forced to press the power button to shut it down completely. This issue has already prompted me to try several solutions, including clearing CMOS, disabling EXPO, re-seating RAM and CPU. A picture of the motherboard’s DRAM light is included.
My hardware specifications are:
- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 240
- Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX ATX AM5 Motherboard
- G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30
- ADATA XPG GAMMIX S70 Blade 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME SSD (Main Drive)
- Seagate Momentus SpinPoint 2 TB 2.5" 5400 RPM HDD (Secondary Drive)
- Asus TUF GAMING OC Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24 GB
- Montech KING 95 PRO ATX Mid Tower Case
- Corsair RM1000x SHIFT 1000 W 80+ Gold
