Absolutely, right. I didn’t want any code to interfere with my gameplay or impact my frame rate. I’ve noticed that odd post-updates can signal deeper hardware issues, so I made sure everything was functioning properly and nothing was slowing me down.

It varies by board design on how it starts up—some power it down, others show static text (like my X570 Master with D3 or D6), and some read temperature values. Today most boards default to showing temperature, except Gigabyte models that don’t. Check the BIOS settings; you should find an option to adjust this behavior if needed.

Sure, I’ll note that if anyone is worried. This configuration often allows adjusting the temperature sensor readings, making it still worth checking (especially on MSI boards, though I haven’t used an ASUS one with a POST code in a while).
