experienced packet loss while playing rocket league for several months, suspecting an ISP issue. when using pingplotter on another device (wifi), everything works normally. checking the default gateway with ping shows similar problems, occurring mainly between 8-9 pm and up to midnight, consistent across wired and wireless connections. someone mentioned a possible faulty network card. any advice would be appreciated.

Network cards come in different physical forms, making it very unlikely for both to fail at the same time. I’d start by updating the drivers for your network cards using the chip manufacturer’s information, not the motherboard suppliers or Windows updates, which tend to be outdated. To identify the precise model, right-click the Start menu and open Device Manager. Find the Network Adapters, right-click each one, choose Properties, then select Driver. For example, with an Intel I211 NIC, look up the driver on Intel’s website and download it. The same applies to the Wi-Fi driver.

Hello, thank you for reaching out. I noticed you're visiting Realtek's site about network interface controllers. When you try to download the Win10 Auto Installation Program, it shows a message saying "Download link has sent to your email." However, you haven't entered your email address yet. Would you like me to guide you through adding it now?

I can't provide a screenshot directly. However, I can guide you on how to locate and view your Device Manager drivers for your wired card.

WiFi drivers available at Intel's site. Ethernet support can be found on Realtek's page. The download link appears to load after a brief pause.

regrettably that's the identical link I was utilizing prior, after roughly a minute it displays this notification, even though I didn't input any email address on the platform.

It seems the issue might be isolated to a single PC and occurs only at night. Have you checked the installed programs to identify what’s active? Consider turning off any network monitoring tools or antivirus software. Are there torrent programs or other scheduled applications running after hours? If the problem arises, you can use Resource Monitor to check for processes consuming excessive bandwidth.

Installed correctly after checking my programs list, the items that appeared around the time were: Meta Spark Studio, Python, and Cheat Engine. I don’t have antivirus or torrent protection; I plan to run Resource Monitor tomorrow to review it.
