I have an ADSL connection and recently installed a new modem router (TP-Link Archer VR400). I'm facing an unusual issue: when using Ethernet, if the wireless network is active at random intervals, I experience sudden spikes in ping ranging from 2000 to around 3500. These delays can last several minutes or even hours. Disabling the wireless option in the router eliminates the problem. I suspect it might be related to a device connected to Wi-Fi downloading updates, but that doesn't seem likely since high-speed downloads only cause minor ping increases (around 400-600). I've tried isolating each device by turning off Wi-Fi one at a time, but the issue persists across all devices. Unfortunately, I can't replace the old router, as it's no longer functional. I haven't adjusted any router settings besides setting up the Wi-Fi password and ADSL options. Anyone have any ideas?

It seems your router is struggling under heavy load. Examine both frequency bands for interference or other devices using your Wi-Fi. Reach out to your ISP to confirm compatibility with your router model. In regions like Asia, some devices may not work well with certain providers.
