Hi Everyone,
I'm seeking some guidance on this issue. Recently, after upgrading most of my system, I've experienced occasional stuttering when switching tabs between browsers while playing a borderless windowed game. For instance, searching online and scrolling down would cause brief pauses lasting about 1-2 seconds each. However, moving the mouse over my desktop doesn't seem to trigger any stutter.

What's particularly puzzling is that enabling the AMD Adrenalin overlay (CTRL+SHIFT+O) eliminates the stuttering. This suggests it's not related to RAM or power supply problems. Could anyone shed some light on what might be causing this?

I've checked for the latest BIOS and chipset/video drivers, tried disabling any overlays, and even reinstalled everything from scratch using factory settings. My system specs are:

- CPU: 7800X3D
- RAM: 32 GB DDR 6000 dual channel (EXPO 1)
- GPU: 6700XT
- PSU: 650W Gold
- Driver: Adrenalin 24.1.1 (same version previously used)

Please let me know if you're aware of this issue.

Additional notes:
- I'm using a single monitor.
- The AMD Adrenalin overlay is completely disabled, yet stuttering persists.
- Ran AMD's cleanup tool and installed the latest video driver from scratch—no improvement.
- When running Cinebench R23 with multiple cores, CPU usage reaches 100%, but browsing remains smooth without any stutter.

I experience a similar situation when I switch to Discord to view comments, etc. I no longer use dual monitors, which prevents me from seeing the console for it. Usually, it happens very quickly as I tab and then return when the game doesn't auto-pause.

Honestly, that wouldn't be an issue I'd worry about too much. For me, the stutter stays as long as the game runs in the background and the AMD metrics overlay is off.
Only using a single monitor.
Edit: I turned off the AMD Adrenalin overlay entirely, but it's still stuttering while I'm writing this, lol.
Edit2: Ran AMD's cleanup tool and reinstalled the latest video driver from scratch. Still nothing changed.

What amount of RAM do you possess, along with its specific setup?
