I've just set up the 7900xtx, everything seems fine except during rocket league. It pauses briefly every few seconds, dropping to 14 FPS until it recovers to 300 again. Occasionally there are stutters in other games too, but not as intense. I experienced similar issues with my previous GPU (5700xt), though not as severe. Anyone know what might be causing this? I've reformatted Windows and updated drivers, but nothing seems to resolve it.

PC specs: GPU - 7900xtx, CPU - 5800X3D, MOBO - rog450 F gaming, PSU - 750W gold (new), RAM - TridentZ 16GB @3200MHz.

During stutters, I check HWMonitor and see wattage around 300-400, but nothing exceeds that. The GPU graph spikes sometimes, other times it doesn't.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't include that detail. The setup mentioned was just about using an M.2 SSD with a size of 500 or 1000 GB.

This seems to be about a motherboard or BIOS/VRM issue. Your cooling performance can be checked via HWInfo. If you notice voltage fluctuations in the MOS section, it might mean your VRM is overheating.

The VRM doesn’t have any sensors, but from what I can see the temperatures look normal. I’m using a Corsair Airflow 4000D and have several Noctua fans installed, so airflow should be sufficient.

When the frame rate is fixed, the same occurs.

Both options work effectively, including when using Rivatuner.

Your power source is failing to maintain a steady 12v. It might be reading too low or the 24-pin connection isn’t secure.
