I relocated my User Folders from SSD to HDD to free up space. During a quick search, I learned to adjust the location via right-click > properties > location. After moving several files, I double-checked and realized I had misplaced them—none were in the folder I intended. I attempted to revert but had no success, so I recreated the folders. When I confirmed that "My documents" already existed, I discovered four folders sharing the same name. Changing one affected the others, and deleting any removed everything. How can I restore them to their original state?

I'm not used to fixing things in that way, but I understand a... let's call it a strategic move. (Nuclear option here means reformatting.) Set up a fresh account and wipe the old one. Make sure important files are saved elsewhere. If you don't mind adjusting program settings, you can transfer the %APPDATA% folder to the new account. Or if your data is already elsewhere, clear the User folder and set up links as needed.

This situation has occurred with me. Uncertain if I’m permitted to share links to other discussion boards, but the tutorial at https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/18...ation.html includes batch files that can bring back your folders to their original places along with other ways to achieve it
