Hi everyone. I need your assistance with my internet issue. Even with a 300Mb/s connection, my PC only receives around 100Mb/s. I’m certain it’s a problem with my computer, not the internet service. I’ve used a cat.5e cable that worked fine on another PC, and it’s connected directly to the ISP router/modem. All drivers and BIOS are up to date as of March 14, 2021. Windows reports 100/100 Mbps, and I tried forcing it to 1 Gigabit but it didn’t work. My PC specs are listed, and the network card details are provided. Thanks for any suggestions. Edit: The modem/router model is Technicolor CGA2121.

Yes, you can temporarily switch to another operating system to help identify whether the problem lies with the software or hardware.

You haven’t downloaded the LAN drivers yet. The MSi page lists version 25.4.0.6, not 12.19.0.16.

This onboard LAN can handle 1Gbps, which was my initial assumption.

That figure looks unusual, let me check your router to see if there are any bandwidth restrictions assigned by someone.

Also verify the connection speeds on the router or modem. It might have ports operating at 1Gb, while others are limited to up to 100Mb.

I don’t have permission to the router or modem configurations. I only get access via my ISP requests. Really frustrating, and tech support is down right now. I’ll try tomorrow. (Since I’m from Poland, I’m in a different time zone.)

I won't be surprised if starting something like Ubuntu or a brand new Windows version resolves the problem.
