Hello,
One of our PCs is experiencing issues with the Windows Update. It displays a message indicating it needs to install an update:
2024-06 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5039302).

When attempting to download and update, the process fails with the error code "Download error - 0x80248007".

I have tried several steps:
- Stopped services wuauserv, cryptSvc, and bits.
- Renamed the SoftwareDistribution folder and the Catroot2 directory.
- Restarted the services again.
- Ran sfc /scannow.
- Checked the file system.
- Installed all drivers, though a chipset driver was missing.
- Increased the Recovery Partition size to 1.5GB.
- Manually downloaded and attempted installation.

The update still doesn't apply, and I’m unsure what to do next. Any advice would be appreciated (except for formatting the PC).

Was es notwendig, Hardwareanpassungen vor der Installation von Windows 11 vorzunehmen?

I've reviewed it and found it to be buggy and optional, though some users may encounter issues. It's not a required update. KB5039302 is a Preview update, so it's not mandatory. If you still wish to install it, consider using the offline installer.

Nope, this PC is a 13th gen i5 13400F with 32GB memory and a RTX 3060 graphics card. There is no need to bypass anything.

I attempted to install the update directly. The message indicates it's not suitable for your system, but it appears to show up in the Windows Update list despite being marked as failed.

Support link from Microsoft to remove the update and clear the list if needed.

This update was released in June, have you applied any newer versions afterward?

It's feasible. I'll need to look into it.
