My system:
- Asrock q87 pro V (previously used Asus CS-B) – switched to Asrock-MB, thinking one RAM slot was faulty. Now it still has the same issue, except I see a warning: "The following channel memory did not pass CPU memory test."
- CPU: Intel 4570T
- RAM: Patriot 2133 MHz 16GB (2x8GB) – also tested Corsair 2x8GB 1333MHz dimmed, but same problem.
- Cooler: Noctua NH 14; tried Intel stock cooler too.
- Boot message: When trying to boot, it shows "The following channel memory did not pass CPU memory test." – suggests removing the RAM and reinserting.
- Channel B: Boots with F1 (continue), but only one RAM dim works.
- Channel A: Same warning appears for both channels.
- Observations: All RAM slots look fine, no physical damage detected. Tried different RAM modules and coolers without improvement.
- Possible cause: CPU issue or faulty memory module.
- Advice: Check for another 1150 CPU if available; ensure CMOS is correct; verify power supply stability.

It seems like the motherboard might be the issue.

It seems like there might be an OS issue. Have you tried using third-party memory tests to verify the RAM? HCI MemTest is quick.

I've tested two different new Mobos, so I'm not convinced either is faulty. It seems unrelated to the operating system since the boot message appears before entering BIOS and only one RAM slot is recognized. What else could be causing this?

@MEmory notes: I've used Corsair 2x8 GB Dimms at 1333 MHz, but the Patriot-Kit still has the same problem.

Same issue, but on Asrock Z87E-ITX. I’m writing about the post because I believe it might assist others. My motherboard began displaying an error during POST: the channel memory failed CPU memory testing. Please remove the memory and try again with Channel A. I had G.Skill TridentX, but I also bought Corsair modules. I noticed the same problem on Channel A with both brands. I replaced the modules one by one, but I consistently faced issues on Channel A. No solution. I contacted Asrock, and they replied promptly (always great support). They recommended: * unplug the motherboard for 10 minutes * remove RAM modules * wipe the modules with a rubber cleaner * clean slot A using a rubber or similar material (tried different methods, not just compressed air) * reset CMOS * reinsert RAM and power, then restart. Still no success. Channel A kept showing problems with both RAM types. I read various posts mentioning CPU issues. Interesting. I removed the CPU, and... after some effort, I managed to align one pin correctly. Using a magnifier and bright light, I gently adjusted it diagonally. Cleaning the contact area helped. After reinserting the CPU and ensuring proper connections, the issue disappeared. It worked well. Hope this helps.*

They really assisted me. Appreciate your message. I just took out the CPU and inspected the pins. Everything seems fine, I lightly rubbed it with an eraser and then reinserted it. It's functioning now. Thanks everyone!
