Issue Identified - System powers up and monitor functions operate, yet screen remains inactive.
I had my PC restored after a couple of months away, and it functioned perfectly before. Normally, when it powers on, everything lights up and the fans spin, but the screen doesn’t receive any signal. I tested the monitor with my laptop separately—it works fine. The configuration details are available here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3NqxL9. It’s currently running Windows 10 64-bit. The BIOS was recently updated without problems, and the two Corsair RAM sticks were also up-to-date, though they performed well the week before I left.
I’ve tried several fixes so far:
- Turning the PC on and off multiple times
- Removing all external/internal drives (except one M.2 that I didn’t want to take out) and restarting
- Reseating the RAM sticks and restarting
- Booting with two RAM sticks, then individually
- Removing the Wi-Fi card and GPU (leaving only one RAM stick in slot 2)
- Clearing CMOS by shorting the two pins
Observations:
The DRAM debug light works normally, but the CPU light doesn’t. There are no lights on the keyboard or mouse. The fans might be spinning faster than usual.
Someone has suggestions? I’m open to replacing parts if necessary, since I know they’re aging, but I’m having difficulty pinpointing the exact issue—whether it’s related to the power supply, motherboard, or GPU.
