I received a brand new motherboard from Gigabyte (Aorus B550 Elite AX V2 rev 1.0). I plan to use the Q-Flash button for my 5-core AMD CPU. When I insert the USB stick and press the Q-Flash button, the USB light only briefly flashes and then stops. The light on the Q-Flash button itself doesn’t activate. I’ve renamed the update file to gigabyte.bin, but it still isn’t working. Anyone know what’s going on?

Check which USB connector you're connecting to the B550 board.

Are you using a usb stick that is formatted as fat32? ntfs or exfat usually doesn't work. If you have another brand of usb stick ,try that as well, i had usb sticks in the past that didn't want to work when i was updating a bios, kingston and transcend always worked for me. Also don't forget there is only 1 usb port that does the qflash. I haven't used it personally, i do have a Aorus b550 elite v2 (non ax version) but i was lucky that mine came with a f12 bios on it, which surprisingly worked on my 5700g even tho 5000g support was added in f13 . Here is a video of a how to using the same board : Guide

I’ve already tested two distinct USB drives from another manufacturer, placed them in the proper USB port, and both were fat32 formatted. Still nothing happened. Would there be a way to check the BIOS version? I’m not sure if that’s something I can locate.

The device with the bios flashback button on the right, as described in the manual, is referred to as the flashback port.

You should find a BIOS version label on your chip. Check nearby areas for it.

Hi, I understand you're a bit behind, but I hope you found a fix. I'm experiencing the same issue—my motherboard isn't responding when I try to Q-flash it.
