Hello everyone, welcome! I'm just starting out here and facing some puzzling problems. My Ryzen 5900X CPU worked fine until it stopped working suddenly one day and has not booted back up since. When I try to turn it on, the fans spin for barely a second before the system crashes again. It was installed on a Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX board with 64GB of Patriot RAM. I thought maybe the BIOS was the issue, so I tested it with a Ryzen 3700X CPU—everything worked perfectly, and I even updated the BIOS. Still, the problem returned when I reinstalled the 5900X. Then I swapped it onto an ASUS Strix B450-F board, which ran for two days before failing again. To figure things out, I tested other parts like an ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero (X370) and an ASUS TUF X570 board, using different RAM and power supplies. None helped, so I’m pretty sure the CPU is permanently dead as of mid-2023. Recently, I got a Gigabyte AB350 Gaming board from a friend and installed the supposedly dead 5900X inside. To my surprise, it booted up and ran smoothly! I used CPU-Z for monitoring and kept some Docker containers running, and everything worked fine for six days until a power outage in my apartment. After that, the CPU failed to start again. Could you share any ideas or advice on what might be causing this issue? Thanks a lot!
I tested four variations of distinct memories, but I didn’t see the type of dice they used. I think your Corsair Vengeance and GSKill Trident Z sets might be included. Not sure if this means it’s a level-related issue; maybe you should check that.
