I have an HP EliteDesk 800 G1 with a Pentium G3440 and 8 GB of RAM running Windows 10 Home. The issue is that when trying to get my credentials for certain websites, it blocks SMS. This happens with Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. How can I resolve this?

Attempt to remove cache and clear cookies. Then open a private window (recommend Firefox or Chrome), repeat the process. Try again inside the private window. If successful there, it should resolve in standard windows afterward. Perhaps. Also consider adding more context about "it won't let me send SMS" – for example, does the failure trigger an error message or simply prevent sending? If this is to a mobile device, note that some providers adjust settings after a purchase, especially following a buy-out. You're not actually sending SMS from a desktop, but rather emailing to a provider's phone number, which is then converted to SMS, creating an additional point of potential failure.

you're asking about the meaning of a PC sending SMS messages, possibly in relation to a website not sending them to your phone.

I attempt to get my login details for certain sites but cannot forward SMS. How can a Windows computer manage SMS on its own? What methods exist? You seem to be having trouble getting SMS from some services.
