Hello everyone, I just assembled my first PC and was checking out various tutorials. Many suggested turning on XMP, so I did. But after rebooting, the motherboard lights flash and warn about CPU and RAM problems. What’s even more puzzling is that if I leave the system running for a few minutes, it boots normally and the LED indicators turn off completely—no problems afterward. I’ve tried both XMP profiles and still face the same issue. So I’ve disabled XMP now; everything works fine then. Still wondering if there’s a solution to get the best performance without waiting 5 minutes each time. I updated the BIOS, but MOBO says it only affects RAM, not both CPU and RAM. The boot time with XMP is now about 2-3 minutes, which is an improvement but still feels like something’s off. My specs are: CPU – AMD Ryzen 5 7600X (6-core, 4.7GHz AM5), RAM – TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta RGB DDR5 32GB at 6400MHz. PC5-51200 CL40. If you need more details or other specs, just let me know. Thanks in advance! EDIT: I currently have two 16GB RAM sticks installed. Updated May 21, 2024 by Eternal15

This speed is too quick for consistent use, especially in direct mode. A standard CMOS setting with a slower clock—around 6000MT/s—will enhance reliability and performance. The extended startup periods are due to MSI not activating memory compression by default; enabling MCR each time the system boots should reduce these delays.
