Issue encountered during resizing of a Btrfs partition and subsequent creation of a new partition in NTFS format.
The issue occurred during the process of reducing the Btrfs volume and generating a fresh NTFS partition using GParted Live.
Expanding the command line further:
This action initiates a process to enlarge the btrfs filesystem, adjusting its storage allocation and potentially reorganizing data structures to accommodate increased capacity.
They aren't just simple partitions; they function as volumes with three main parts. Because of this intricacy, I no longer rely on it. The process involves logical volumes, volume groups, and all three need correct resizing. When I hit storage limits in OpenSUSE and tried to expand the space, even after everything was expanded, the system wouldn't reinstall properly, so I switched to ext4 or xfs.
