I assembled my new PC (VIII Hero i7 6700k) everything functioned well, so I connected a DVD drive to install Windows 10 (which I downloaded from DreamSpark). I adjusted the boot priority and as soon as it started, it asked: reboot and select a proper boot device. Why can’t I get it working? I searched extensively on the internet but found no solution. I also tried using my original Windows 7 CD, which didn’t work either. Please help—I’ve been stuck for about three hours and can’t resolve this. Thanks, Akadis.

The BIOS could be refusing to start from the optical disc. Have you attempted to update with a USB using the ISO file? 2) I encountered issues with DirectX during my Windows 7 setup on Dreamspark, and because of faulty RAM during installation, some cabfiles got damaged. Running games might still be tricky, especially since my knowledge is limited to Windows 7.

Ensure the connection matches the correct SATA ports for your DVD drive. Refer to the manual for specifics.

Sure, just plug it in with the USB and follow the instructions.
