32GB RAM 5700x3D Radeon RX 5500 XT delivers 400-500 FPS on VAL, yet I experience random stutters. It seems this issue only occurs with that game. Possible solutions tried:
- Lower monitor overclock from 270HZ to steady 240HZ
- Reinstalled AMD drivers (not a clean install) from the official site
- Disabled Freesync, ANTI-LAG, and enabled Adaptive Syncing
Same results—FreeSync remains off with ANTI-LAG also disabled.
Also tried turning off Stress Test Valorant test file.

Your input lag appears to be noticeable. In Valorant, poor ping can cause significant stuttering. I've experienced this during intense matches due to lag while opening.

I wouldn't change the monitor much. Keep the anti-lag enabled, even though it lacks AL 2. Make sure to update Windows and the BIOS, plus refresh the GPU driver for a quick check. It's not a high-end GPU compared to its specs, so it might depend on your RAM speed—see if it runs smoothly. Use tools like MSI Afterburner to monitor frame rates, temperatures, and VRAM usage, and adjust game settings accordingly.

My fiber connection is 6MS with zero packet loss at the Paris server. Speeds are 14-15MS in Frankfurt and London, and there’s also no packet loss there.

I understood your concern. I took out the OC from the monitor, enabled anti-lag in FPS settings, ensured Windows and BIOS were current, and updated the GPU driver. Valorant is CPU-intensive, so even with lower specs on my previous PC, it ran smoothly without stutters. It gave me around 200-300 FPS, but no stuttering at all.

You can perform a fresh GPU driver setup via the new installer. After launching it, you’ll find an option to reset everything to factory settings. You can view system data through its hardware monitor, accessible via the sidebar’s monitor icon. The specific metrics displayed depend on the settings in the cog icon—since it isn’t set by default, you’ll need to verify what it tracks. For logging purposes, ensure it records for a short period while gaming so you can review the logs later. All relevant details such as average frame rates, minimum and maximum values, and low percentages can be adjusted in the settings. Additionally, you’ll be able to see your frame rate trends in a graph after some gaming sessions, along with temperature, RAM usage, and VRAM consumption.
