I set up Morrowind overhaul 3.0 at maximum performance; it functioned smoothly during the short playtime. I planned to upgrade some included mods, obtaining the newest Morrowind code update and fresh weapon images. Later, I discovered the latest MGE XE version and manually downloaded and installed it (version 0.9.10). Afterward, I noticed a problem mainly in shading outside; interiors remained excellent. Report attached: pic1 (Issue) pic2 (Issue) Using the version bundled with MGSO 3.0 (v0.9.9) appeared fine, as seen in pic1 (Ok) and pic2 (Ok). Now I prefer sticking to v0.9.9 but understood that v0.9.10 added UI zoom. Reading all the dialogue became difficult on my 2560x1440 display, even with larger fonts. Attempts included: 1) Full reinstall of Morrowind 2) Matching settings post-MGSO and MGE XE 0.9.10 3) Disabling shader options such as SSAO High, Bloom Fine, Depth of Field, Sunshafts etc. 4) Disabling antialiasing (noticeable drop to ~10 FPS). 5) Running as administrator 6) Turning off fog in MGE XE 7) Deactivating Distant Lands in MGE XE 8) I even replaced the d3d8.dll file from v0.9.9 with the updated version in v0.9.10, which resolved the issue but introduced many visual glitches; popping textures were among them. I’m unsure exactly what’s causing the problem. The UI scaling would be incredibly helpful at the moment. Anyone have suggestions or alternative UI options? I own a non-steam GOTY DVD edition.
