He recently acquired an old system from around 2018 and handed it over because it kept crashing. He mentioned it was his setup—an i5 4570, 8 GB RAM, DDR3, 1600 MHz GPU, GTX 970. I assumed he adjusted all the settings, but no matter what you changed, the game always used all 8 GB of memory instead of the claimed 7.9 GB. With Afterburner enabled, I tried lowering the resolution to 1024x768, but lag appeared as soon as the map loaded, even at the lowest settings. The issue worsened when CPU usage reached 50% and GPU between 40-60%. Switching between DirectX 11 and 12 didn’t help. He mainly plays at 720p, but he says his system needs at least 8 GB RAM. Is there any program that restricts memory usage? Anyone else has encountered this problem?
