I assembled a fresh PC for the first time, and most components function properly except for occasional freezes that often lead to a blue screen and a restart. I haven’t managed to reproduce this problem consistently, but during benchmark tests on 2D graphics, the system freezes with a spinning mouse and becomes unresponsive. This occurs specifically when the girl with messy hair spins, even though it happens in the same position every time. Other benchmarks run smoothly without issues. The issue seems linked only to 2D graphics while using Firefox, Ableton Live, and during file transfers with multiple open browser windows. It appears unpredictable when it happens. Specifications include a 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13600K processor, 32 GB RAM, Radeon RX 5500 XT graphics, T-Force Vulcan 3200 motherboard, ASRock B760 Pro SSD, and a Thermaltake Toughpower power supply. The system runs Windows 11 Home on a 1440p display via HDMI. Most blue screens seem to appear when connected directly to the GPU, but benchmark freezes occur when the GPU is linked through HDMI to the motherboard. I’ve checked thermal readings and they aren’t spiking, though I’m new to this and might be missing something—please let me know if you have any additional information. Thank you for sharing the blue screen dump.zip.

Are you experiencing any power restrictions? If not, consider cleaning your GPU, removing dust from the HDMI cable/ports and PCIe x16 slot, and the GPU connector itself. Verify that all PC components are securely connected. You might also try resetting your BIOS—after a GPU upgrade it didn’t show up, but after resetting it everything functioned correctly. I hope these steps help resolve your problem!

Yes, loading UEFI defaults is often used as a reset method for the BIOS.

Consider removing the button battery from your PC, typically a CR2032. This action will fully reset your BIOS settings.

The update that stripped the coin cell helped me pass the 2D test for the first time. I'll leave this discussion open for a while because the crashes seem unpredictable, but I believe it worked. Thanks a lot, @Advanced_Gaming!
