I'm exploring the details of overclocking and seeking advice on suitable configurations. My current setup includes:
- i7 930 2.8GHz
- Asus Rampage 3 Formula
- Antec CP -1000 1000w
- Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO with Noctua NF-F12 PMW 120mm fan
- 12GB Corsair Vengeance 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM at 1600 MHz

The MOBO/CPU components are around five years old, and I haven't encountered any problems like blue screens or shutdowns. Considering their age and build quality, would this system be capable of overclocking the 930 to around 3.5/3.6GHz?

That would overclock. The main focus should be on a good PSU and cooler, both appear to be covered.
