Hello,
I’m wondering if there’s any possibility that my build is affecting the power supplies?
I’ve changed my power supply three times in a year already.
The first was a Corsair HX 850, the next a Gigabyte 750 Gold (I forgot the exact model), and the last one I had was a Corsair HX 750 this week.
I’m using a solid voltage regulator and it seems there have been no changes in my home’s power fluctuations.
My setup includes:
I7 - 7700
24gb RAM
Gigabyte motherboard
Rtx 2080ti

Highly improbable. Your parts generate power and have a maximum capacity that all HX units can manage. The Gigabyte model, depending on its version, has shown reliable performance, while other models have been reported to overheat. If the HX850 is very old, that might make sense. If the Gigabyte was among the earliest and considered low-quality, it could theoretically cause damage over time. However, given your current setup and assuming everything is functioning properly, I’d suggest checking your wiring or the specific outlet you’re using.

Thank you for your response, My Unit is fine as of now, I've temporarily replaced my psu with a cheap one while waiting for my new psu to arrive..
I'll hire an electrician to check my house wiring or any damages, as I don't know crap about it..
Thanks!

It's really strange, 3 in a year is unusual. I should check the house right away. Are there any other odd problems happening with the appliances? Most HX 850s should last about ten years.
