The VRM thermal pads are seeping due to excessive heat. After installing the AIO, the cooling for the MOSFETs under the fins has noticeably decreased. It's not a major safety issue, but it's something worth monitoring.

The device freezes 2 to 3 times daily. The front USB port is also malfunctioning. You're right about the AIO.

It seems there’s been some discussion about the appearance of a cap, possibly due to leakage or too much heat, but flux doesn’t fit unless the repair was rushed. I’ve never seen a silicone thermal pad actually melt, and I’ve heated them past 100°C before.

Take out the boards and swap the VRM caps and thermal pads. It’s a simple $5 fix.

I'm facing the same issue too! My PC has been running with that wet solich for two years without any issues until now. It turns out I made a mistake—its heatsink is leaking. I don’t have liquid cooling, and my capacitors and VRMs are all fine.

I meant the heat sink's thermal pad was melting, which suggests the material breaks down under heat. It's surprising how this happens, and it seems like frying electronics won't help. Could using thermal paste be a better option?

I'm experiencing a similar problem with my ASUS X99-A Mobo and 6850K. The VRM heatsink leaked oil from the thermal pads down to the VRM itself and the RAM slots. This led to random shutdowns where the PC would turn off abruptly after just a few seconds. After replacing the PSU, the issue persisted. I disassembled the case to check for shorts or dust buildup, finding oily residue on both sides of the heat sink that likely caused a short circuit. I cleaned it with q-tips and 91% alcohol, dried the pads, and reassembled everything. It now works better, though occasional sudden shutdowns remain. The Event Viewer showed Error Code 41, which appears to be related to CPU power issues. The VRM fans keep running below 60°C, so overheating isn’t the main concern. I’m frustrated because I’m out of warranty and don’t want to risk further damage. I thought about using TIM, but it might leak more easily and cause additional problems.
