Consider updating your laptop's thermal paste. Since you haven't changed it for 12 years, it might be time to refresh it. The low temperatures you're seeing could indicate thermal throttling, even though the max temperature is 85°C. If performance drops significantly under load, replacing it may improve stability and speed.

It should be changed every few years, around 12 years should suffice. It might have dried out and isn't functioning properly anymore.

What processor is this? If it's an older model, the 85C could be near its thermal threshold.

It remains within the thermal range, gradually decreasing under full load above 100%. Still, swapping the thermal paste isn’t causing any issues.

Certainly, ensure the thermal paste is no more than ten years old and has not been changed before use.
