I have a Lenovo Legion Y520 and I believe the specs are decent, but I can't play CS without everything being configured for low settings to get 60 FPS or Fortnite barely reaches above 60 with all low. It still has lag spikes and it's really annoying.

what is the resolution you're using for these games? if it's 1080p, you'll likely notice improved frame rates.

Performance details on your laptop shouldn't suggest poor handling of the games mentioned. Make sure the GTX 1050 is selected as the primary GPU. The Y520 model includes Optimus, which works well without G-Sync.
