Recently, I purchased an AOC AGON PRO AG276QZD2 QD-OLED monitor. It appears to be functioning well at first, but has started causing some problems. When my PC starts up with both monitors connected (the other is a Dell IPS model), the IPS screen shows only black with a horizontal line in the middle—still usable for mouse movement—but reverts to normal once the DP cable is properly seated. After that, launching games or opening Chrome tabs causes the system to freeze for 3 to 5 minutes, often not responding to Ctrl+Alt+Delete commands before restarting completely. During the freeze, my CPU reaches maximum usage, but I can't determine what caused it to stop. Once the freeze ends, the PC operates smoothly for hours. Why does this happen? I have the latest drivers and a solid system (9800x3d, RX 7900 XT). Booting only with the IPS monitor works perfectly.

Are you noticing unusual color settings on your PC? After setting up an OLED TV, adjusting the color depth to 12 bits in the NVidia control panel caused black screens when using Alt+Tab. Lowering it to 10 bits resolved the problem. Consider searching for comparable options.

Your color depth is already configured for 10 bits, and you won’t see black screens during the initial phase of the process. Appreciate it!

I just recalled something: my brother had a good Samsung panel before, but it was a mess for the first 30 minutes after powering it on. It needed to be warmed up. I figured running it at its original 144Hz caused the problems, and adjusting the refresh rate to 120Hz via the monitor's OSD fixed everything. You might want to lower your monitor’s refresh rate by a few levels and test it. If this is the issue, you still have a working display while you look into the warranty options.
