Perform proper troubleshooting steps. Set up the equipment and connect the diagnostic speaker to the front panel. Listen for beeps; the system will indicate errors if there’s a problem. If no beeps appear, check the board itself. Record any sounds and consult the manual or instructions provided. Avoid extreme actions like damaging hard drives, as they won’t help. Thanks so much! I wasn’t aware the board could actually produce sound, but it does! I’ll give it another shot tomorrow. In the meantime, I’ve already finished reassembling everything with thermal paste and other parts... such a disappointment.
Hello, just checked and it really doesn’t produce any sound... though I’m pretty sure my board isn’t broken, since with the old CPU it never caused an issue... My guess was correct: without the CPU it wouldn’t make any beeps with the new one, and without RAMs it would still ring with the new CPU. With RAMs it wouldn’t ring at all. These thoughts suggest a possible RAM or CPU memory controller problem, but I’m really unsure—it might just be that the RAM sticks aren’t compatible. They’re 8GB x 2 Crucial Ballistix BL2K8G36C16U4B at 3600 MHz CL16. Thanks again for your help.
