Is your Acer laptop running slow with low frames per second and shaking?
I bought an Acer Nitro 5 515-55 about a year ago. It worked great for the first five months, but two months ago it started getting really slow and stuttering. When playing games like GTA V, the frames per second don't go above 75 on medium graphics settings, and it lags a lot. I tried every fix I know: I turned off all the types of V-sync. I repasted, set performance to the highest level, selected the dedicated GPU, cleaned the fans, and did many other things. I also contacted Acer, but they haven't answered yet. I am a university student, so I can't afford to buy a new laptop right now. It would be really helpful if someone could help me out. My temps are around 90 C on the CPU and 80 C on the GPU when under heavy load. Also, I keep plugging it in at all times. My specs are: RTX 3060, i5-10300H, 1x16 GB RAM, and a 500GB SSD. This also happens to me, but not the stutter or lag, only my fan noise which I love because it shows that it is really working. But honestly, that's just how I am. Those temps are actually normal for an Acer 10th Gen i5 with a 3060 GPU. Ever tried unplugging it from the wall and letting it sit for a few hours? Sometimes when you keep plugging in a laptop all the time, it starts acting weird. The frame drops and stuttering happen because the computer thinks it's basically a desktop now and wants to see how hot it gets. From now on, try unplugging it occasionally so it cools down from being plugged in. That actually helped my problem. I have an ROG Zephyrus GM501m just so you knew.
