Is worth buying 2025?
Hello, I discovered a used PC for 350$ with the following details:
CPU: Core I9-9900K
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z390 X
RAM: Kingston (2x8)16G DDR4 3200MHz
Power Supply: Aigo 500W
Storage: 256GB SSD
Would it be a good investment in 2025? Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you ahead of time.
I'm trying to figure out what you're attempting to do with this PC.
In my view, it doesn't make sense.

Does this computer meet your requirements? If yes and it functions properly, it looks sensible.
The I9-9900K is listed for around $200 used on eBay.
I understand it was just an example, but you must be cautious here. The 5700x lacks integrated graphics, meaning they’d require a separate GPU, which would raise the overall cost considerably. To prevent that, they’d need to opt for a 5700g instead. Also, consider that if assembling these components isn’t comfortable, there’s no chance of finding a pre-built version with those specifications for this price. The 9900k system will be ready to power on and at 350$ it’s not extremely expensive (though the PSU is subpar and we don’t know what drive is installed).
