Is Windows 10 still a good choice?
Is Windows 10 still a good choice?
I was really thrilled with my recent upgrade to the new i7 Skylake after spending some time with the older Gen 1 i7 and getting a GTX 980 graphics card. I set up my W8.1 Pro and planned for a W10 update. After a week, the download and installation went smoothly. The new interface was impressive, and I really liked it so much that I’d prefer to stick with W10 again. Note...again because after a short while using W10 (with all the latest drivers), several BSoDs appeared like popcorn in a microwave—about ten at first, then fewer as time passed. It caused me serious concern about a hardware issue, but it stopped once I switched back to W8.1. A friend who just upgraded to the W10 Education Edition told me he faced the same problem and went back to W8.1 for reassurance. So far, I’ve been sticking with W8.1 for a month now and am curious if others have had similar issues and whether they’ve resolved them. http://imgur.com/a/T7gDt
You’re asking if it’s okay for Microsoft and the US government to have full access to your personal information, without mentioning any illegal actions.
A new setup should resolve your issues, with most problems easily disabled.
That's the primary reason people stick with the current version, regardless of what they do on their PC. It's a bit amusing to think no one recalls Microsoft being sued for spying during XP. I don't remember it.
It really depends on where you are. You might feel trapped like in a movie, but it doesn’t change how you live daily. Unless your computer has sensitive data, they probably don’t need it. If they insist after turning everything off, just give them what they want.
I kind of tried to avoid that...but there is no other way isn't it sigh*
