You can purchase original equipment manufacturer (OEM) copies of Windows 7, though this comes with its own challenges. Support for Windows 7 systems is set to end, similar to what happened with Windows XP. The transition will likely be unavoidable soon.

It varies based on your current setup. I have 10 on a VM and it seems solid. The main issue I noticed is limited program support.

Program support should generally become stable about six months after the operating system launches. The same applies to drivers—businesses often need more time to adjust.
