Hello! Upgrading your RAM could definitely make a difference. With a 32GB 3600MHz C18 and a 3200 16GB, you'll likely notice better performance, especially for demanding games. The choice between the two depends on your needs—32GB offers more memory for multitasking, while 16GB is still solid for most users. Just ensure your system supports the new specs and you get the best value.

It doesn't actually improve performance based on memory capacity, making a RAM upgrade unnecessary.

The 5800x3D works well with a 3600MHz setup for clock synchronization. I didn’t waste time on a 3200MHz model when I was using my 5800x3D. For a 2x16GB configuration, a 3600MHz CL18 should perform consistently. In 2023, 16GB storage is still a bit tight depending on your system.

It's not about how fast it is; 16GB is just a bit on the edge.

It focuses more on the volume. Between 16 and 32 units, and with a quicker delivery? I recommend it. The cost variation between kits isn't significant.

16GB is limiting, and DDR4 is probably close to that upward spiral. CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4 3600 Desktop RAM - Newegg.com $77 for 32GB 3600 CL18 LPX, its hard to argue against that. Still also have time to resell a 2x8GB kit as well.

Consider CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4 3600 Desktop RAM on Newegg. For a more premium option, try searching for 3600 DDR4 32GB CL18 kits. Running a 5800x3D with lower speeds isn't worth it; the higher clock speed is the real advantage. Team T-FORCE VULCAN Z offers 32GB DDR4 3600 at $72 on Newegg.

Prices are slightly elevated in Europe, yet 3600MHz CL18 kits remain reasonably priced, about $20 more. You're wondering if CL16 or above offers better performance? I'm happy to clarify, but why does speed matter less with a 5800X3D?

For tasks like Photoshop, having 32GB or more RAM can be beneficial. The 3600C18 is ideal but the 3200C16 works just fine. Since 5800X3D doesn’t care about high memory speeds above 3200, boosting performance mainly comes from overclocking via BCLK if your motherboard supports it. Be careful not to fall for fake listings like the 3600C16 scam—it’s not reliable. Both C18 and C16 processors offer similar reliability; one is a scam with no real gain, while the other isn’t. If you need fast RAM, you’ll have to adjust it yourself. You can’t skip overclocking limits no matter how much you spend on scams (the 3600C16 is not for regular use). Storage options like 5800X3D have a lot of cache that can negate the benefits of faster RAM, so stick with stock models unless you’re an overclocker.
