It seems TP Link might be overlooked despite strong performance across various products. Their devices often face negative perceptions, especially when compared to brands like Netgear or Linksys. From a cost, feature, and reliability standpoint, many users find them underrated. Would you like some insights on why this happens?

The link is widely used across many regions. It isn't limited to any specific area.

Not based on how popular they are, but on the genuine respect shown for the gear they offer. It appears they often face criticism on forums and within professional networks.

tplink aimed to be the most affordable option available, which helped establish their presence, though this reputation remains tied to that image. Their gear is generally average, often relying on older technologies while maintaining solid construction and functionality. They frequently release hardware updates for openWRT, which can be frustrating for users eager to port their devices. In short, I ended up keeping tp-link routers for eight months before finding an openWRT-compatible model.

I've experienced three TP-link switches failing repeatedly. All eight ports support 1Gbps, but they typically last only a couple of years before they stop working. I'm drawn back to them because they're affordable and function well for that duration. They perform adequately, though they don't stand out or impress others.
