Is this your only experience while playing games?
I'm aware I've discussed this extensively, but it's really worrying me. In certain games I encounter minor frame drops or stuttering and timing issues, not in every case. For instance, a game like Control might have these problems occasionally, happening roughly every few minutes. I've tried all possible solutions, and it seems the issue might stem from the game engine itself. Titles such as Doom Eternal and Cyberpunk don't typically display this. I'm seeking confirmation from others who experience similar intermittent frame drops with high-end hardware—specifically an RTX 3080 RX 5800 XT with 32GB of 3200MHz memory. This post isn't about troubleshooting fixes, but to see if anyone else has noticed such occurrences. The video might not capture it perfectly, but you can check the frame times and notice spikes reaching nearly 60 FPS for a brief moment. It also appears in Horizon Zero Dawn.
Occasionally I notice these issues in games that usually run smoothly. It seems like a background process is triggering them. Why share if you're not looking for assistance? Is this about the microstutter support community? "Hi, my name is Cacoe and I'm dealing with a major issue. Microstutters are bothersome during gameplay."
Control uses DLSS. Turn it on if you're concerned about occasional stutters. The other details are the percentile values.
I removed those functions right away, wiping out most of them in Windows. The remaining ones I turned off.
Usually you shouldn't turn off specific window services, though it's up to you. I don’t usually run many background jobs, but following the advice from the person involved means no further assistance is needed.
You're really putting in the effort here, but I'm not offering any advice. You already have a bloated Windows version, so let's focus on solving your actual issue. Thanks for reaching out!
I see it too, you're correct. It's subtle but I can definitely pick it up, especially when I'm testing the game just to see if it holds up. I'm not aiming for that perfect 3080 setup with a flawless build, so I don't want to run into issues others might face.
