Hello. I'm checking if this laptop suits your needs for 1080p gaming, video editing, and programming.
The model you mentioned fits within your budget:
CPU – AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS
GPU – Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 8GB GDDR6 (115W TDP)
RAM – 8GB DDR5-4800MHz (1x8)
Storage – 512GB M.2 SSD
Display – 16" WUXGA 1920x1200 144Hz, G-Sync
Battery – 80 Wh
Operating System – Windows 11
You mentioned you might need to upgrade the RAM.
Would you like me to suggest alternatives or confirm this setup?

You might consider enhancing the RAM to a 2 x8GB setup. For gaming purposes, if the laptop lacks both an M.2 and a SATA port for storage, you'll likely need a bigger M.2 SSD since it won't be long before the available space fills up given the current game sizes. Still, it's not a bad option for basic entry-level gaming.
